Pineapple/Cherry upside down cake

1 - 12 oz bottle of sprite

1 – 20 oz can crushed pineapple

1 – 21 oz can cherry pie filling

1 box of yellow cake mix


Mixing Instructions:

Mix cake mix and add sprite for how moist you want it

Mix cherries and pineapple in a different bowl


Line your dutch oven with foil or a dutch oven liner (parchment paper)

Add cherry and pineapple mix to bottom

Add the cake mix with butter chunks on top of that


Cooking Instructions:

Put 8 coals on the bottom and 16 on top evenly spread out

Turn the lid and the pot different directions 1/3 of a turn WITHOUT taking the lid off every 15 minutes for 45 minutes.

If you decide to take a sneek peek and open a lid, you can add 15 additional minutes to the cooking time.
